Bowman Memorial Gymnasium was built in honor of Nyack Alumnus Harold Bowman and is the centerpiece of our basketball and volleyball programs. There is a brand new college- sized floor which provides a great venue for our camps.

The Field House enables students and athletes to play all court and field sports 12 months of the year. This air conditioned facility allows athletes to participate and exercise indoors when relief is needed from the heat and sun in the "dog days" of summer.

Driving Directions (Nyack Campus)
1. From the NY State Thruway 287/87 South/East: Take Exit 11, "The Nyacks," and turn left at the light off the exit ramp on Rt 59. Turn right at the following traffic light proceeding south on Rt 9W for 2/10 mile. Bear right at the light on to South Highland Avenue. Continue on South Highland Avenue turning right at the Nyack College entrance sign. Boon Campus Center is on the left. The Admissions Office is in Shuman Hall - follow the road to the left.

2. From the NY State Thruway 287/87 North/West: Cross the Tappan Zee Bridge and take exit 11, the second exit on the west side of the bridge. Proceed straight at the four corners off the exit ramp to the traffic light. Turn right on to Rt 9W. Take Rt 9W straight through the next traffic light to the second traffic light and bear right onto South Highland Avenue. Continue on South Highland Avenue turning right at the Nyack College entrance sign. Boon Campus Center is on the left. The Admissions Office is in Shuman Hall - follow the road to the left.

3. From Upstate New York: Take Rt 90 East (New York State Thruway) (Buffalo/Rochester) to Rt 81 South (Syracuse) to Rt 17 East (Binghamton) to Rt 287/87 South/East (Harriman) toward New York City. Follow #1.

4. From Norwest New York or Northeast Pennsylvania: Rt 17 South to Rt 287/87 South/East. Follow #1 above.

5. From New York City (Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan):

From the Major Deegan Expressway: Take Rt 287/87 North/West. Follow #2 above.

From FDR Drive North, Harlem River Drive North, Henry Hudson Parkway North or Cross Bronx Expressway: Cross the George Washington Bridge (UPPER LEVEL). Palisades Parkway North. Take exit 8E – Nyack Rt. 59. Head East on Rt. 59 for approx. 2-3 miles. Make a right onto Rt. 9W. Bear right onto South Highland Avenue. Continue on South Highland Avenue turning right at the Nyack College entrance sign. The Admissions Office is in Shuman Hall – follow the road to the left.

6. From Staten Island: 278 West. Cross the Goethals Bridge into New Jersey. New Jersey Turnpike North to Rt 95 North (when nearing the George Washington Bridge and Fort Lee, take local NOT EXPRESS). Palisades Parkway North. Take exit 8E – Nyack Rt. 59. Head East. on Rt. 59 for approx. 2-3 miles. Make a right onto Rt. 9W. Bear right onto South Highland Avenue. Continue on South Highland Avenue turning right at the Nyack College entrance sign. The Admissions Office is in Shuman Hall - follow the road to the left.

7. From Long Island: Rt 495 West to Rt 295. Cross the Throgs Neck Bridge. Rt 95 West (Cross Bronx Expressway) to Rt 87 North to Rt 287/87 North/West. Follow #2 above.

Or

Long Island Expressway West to the Cross Island Parkway. Take the Whitestone Bridge. Take the Hutchinson River Parkway to Exit 26 West to Rt 287/87 North/West. Follow #2 above.

8. From New England: Rt 95 South. After crossing into New York State, take Rt 287/87 North/West. Follow #2 above.

9. From Southern New Jersey: Garden State Parkway North. After crossing into New York State, the Parkway becomes Rt 287/87 (NY St. Thruway). When the thruway splits, go towards the Tappan Zee Bridge (South/East). Follow #1 above.

10. From Northern New Jersey & Eastern Pennsylvania: Rt 78 East to Rt 287 North to Rt 287/87. Follow #1 above.

11. From Western Pennsylvania: Rt 80 East to Garden State Parkway North. After crossing into New York State, the Parkway becomes Rt 287/87 (NY St. Thruway). When the thruway splits, go towards the Tappan Zee Bridge (South/East). Follow #1 above.

Public Transportation:

From New York City: Take Red & Tan Lines (845) 356-0877, Bus 9A which leaves hourly from the Bus Terminal at 178th Street (George Washington Bridge). Get off in Nyack (near the YMCA). (Note: If you are taking the A train to the bus terminal, get off the 175 th Street/George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal stop.)

From Grand Central Station, New York City: Take Metro-North Commuter Railroad to Tarrytown, NY, Station. Take Tappan ZEExpress Bus to Nyack (Cedar & Main).

From New York City, Lower Manhattan: Take the Path Train to Hoboken, NJ. Take NJ Transit (201) 762-5100, Pascack Valley Line, to Nanuet, NY. Take the bus from Nanuet Mall to Nyack.

From New Jersey: Take NJ Transit (201) 762-5100, Pascack Valley Line, from Hoboken, NJ, to Nanuet, NY. Take the bus from Nanuet Mall to Nyack.
